Spiciness arrives on the palate with some nuttiness, followed by a clean umami that keeps this full-bodied brew from feeling too heavy. Delicious at a range of temperatures, it won gold as a warm sake at the National Kanzake Contest in 2017. Its depth and character is a perfect partner for seafood au gratin.

The story

Founded in 1934 in Saga prefecture, Sachihime Brewing Company is a small, mostly hand-brewing operation that crafts the sacred sake for Yutoku Inari Shrine. Embracing the region’s sweet palate, it produces refreshing, floral, award-winning sake.
