This affordable honjozo is of a dry style popular in Akita prefecture, and the brand is locally loved in the city of Yurihonjo, where the brewery is located. Known for its affordability and its wonderfully light dryness, this sake has notes of chestnuts, which are at their best at room temperature or slightly heated. The lightness allows for nice pairing with flavor-heavy foods such as grilled meats and seafood.
