As our work has evolved, we’ve also been thinking deeply about the future of sake in the United States — how it should be discovered, experienced, and judged on its own terms.
Tippsy has transitioned to a new name: Palate Project.
While the name and look of our website will evolve, nothing about the company itself is changing. The team behind Tippsy remains the same, our operations remain the same, and your customer account will stay exactly as it is.

No. The company behind Tippsy is not changing.The team, operations and ownership all remain the same. Tippsy is simply transitioning to a new name: Palate Project.
Why is Tippsy changing its name?
As our work has grown, we realized that Tippsy no longer fully reflects what we do.Our mission is not only to sell sake, but to help create a world where the true taste of sake can be experienced and judged honestly. Palate Project better reflects that mission.
When will the name change happen?
You’ll begin seeing the new Palate Project name in the coming weeks. When the transition happens, visits to Tippsy will automatically redirect to the new Palate Project website.
Is the company still the same?
Yes. Everything behind the scenes remains the same.

Why the name “Palate Project”?
Palate Project reflects our belief that great taste transcends cultures. It’s our initiative to bring exceptional Japanese craftsmanship — sake — directly to consumers, changing the current supply chain to work better for them. We aim to create an authentic, easy-to-navigate space for people to discover, taste and understand the sophisticated, craft beverage that is sake.
Do I need to do anything?
No action is required. You can continue shopping and enjoying sake as you always have.
What happens to my subscriptions?
1. Unlimited Shipping plan
Your plan is active until one year after the last renewal. Your plan won't renew automatically anymore. We are excited to offer new shipping benefits at Palate Project.
2. Tippsy Sake Club
We canceled your old Sake Club subscription at the end of March 2026. Your club benefits — 5% product discount, 20% shipping discount — ended at the cancellation. We have introduced a new Palate Selections subscription, which is a quarterly delivery of our 3- or 6-bottle box featuring exclusive sake curated by our Japan team.
