“Hannya” is a devil formed by agony, resentment and envy; a myth of a young, innocent, beautiful woman betrayed by her husband. She tolerated his infidelity over and over again. Her anger finally took over and transformed her into a dreadful, cold-blooded devil. This version of Ginkobai by Ippongi Kubohonten has a distinct spiciness from hot pepper.
